Never done this before!

Writing is not my strength, but I've felt inspired by reading other blogs, namely my son's "The Greatest Story Ever Told" and Stephanie Nielsen's, "Nienie Dialogues". What a great way to share and encourage one another, not to mention record thoughts feelings and events. I came up with the name "small things" from a scripture I'm using to remind myself that it is through the small and seemingly insignificant things in life that great things happen. "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great." D&C 64:33

As a mother, it's so hard sometimes to remember that wiping the 100th yucky nose is anything great. But it is providing comfort and building a relationship of trust with someone we love. Doing dishes to what seems like half the day is a thankless job but it is creating a peaceful environment for a family to flourish. But whether you're a housewife or not, each of us have small things to be thankful for on a daily basis. If only we could slow down, notice, then be patient and build with those small things. Someday, we will realize those small things will grow into something great.
