The blurry picture above is of Rachel (in the middle) playing flute at her last concert of the year. She later informed me that she won't be playing next year since she will be in choir and theatre. I must be doing something wrong since, one by one, my kids each have dropped out of organized music. I still hope to get them playing the piano. When I was young, I "swore" that all of my kids would play the piano but I've failed miserably at being consistent with lessons. Moving and selling the piano set us back quite a bit. It's been catch up ever since.
Then, finally, with much grumbling, we got out in the garden to plant the veggies. I've been driving around and noticing these beautiful vegetable gardens producing fruit already. It's June, and I'm just starting! We'll yield something, just not as much as everyone else.
Then, last night we had a ward picnic before attending an outdoor community play of Cinderella. Here, Abi is admiring the "magical" flashing of her wand. She was so into the part that she danced around and blessed us each with the touch of her wand several times.
One more week of school (if you could call it that) and the real fun begins!! Yea summer!!
