Just in the nick of time! Thurs was a beautiful day and my last chance to plant bulbs. Since it is the end of the season I got a bag at Costco on sale and even bought a cool round composter at more than half off. When Joseph found out about the composter he asked, "Can't you buy compost?" ....Of coarse you can but wouldn't it be fun to make your own and put all that "wonderful" garbage to good use? I guess you have to be a gardener to understand (I'm a wanna-be).

I really did try to have all the right tools so that I didn't have to get my hands in the dirt since I had just taken a shower (note to self: should never do that before gardening). But there is no better gardening tool than your hands. I've tried in the past to use gloves so my sad looking fingernails could have a chance, but they just got in the way. Bare hands are they best.
Not five minutes after going inside, it started to rain. Perfect!
