Well, here's some more pics from our vacation.
Right in the eye. |
This was the first ride that Esther went on. When we got to the top and she realized that she would have to go down by herself, she immediately started to back out and cry. It took me a good 3 minutes to talk her into it ending with the warning that if she didn't go down, we weren't taking her on the other rides. That did it. She went down, loved it and continued on to try the other rides (with fear and trembling at first). When she tried to back out of the biggest ride, Dad plopped her in the raft without dicussion and told the attendant to push them off. She was frightened but ended up loving it too. Moral: Fear can hold keep us from enjoying so many things in life. Take a deep breath and let go. |

part of the indoor water park |
What's with both of them sticking out their tongues? |
Esther's first spa experience. She even got a tiara. |
The girls and I enjoyed our own time in the spa. Aaahhhhh..... |
Abi wasn't afraid of anything but loved the small fry section best. |
Jacob and Abi in the swimming pool. |
Oh, look, there's me (I'm the one without the ears). One of the few pictures we got at mini-golf since our batteries were dead. The course was pretty simple. Once during Abi's turn, we watched as she hit-dragged her ball to the hole. Then she threw her fists in the air in triumph then stuck her chest out and said "yeeaaah" as though she had just made a touch down. |
Jacob showed Abi that his had was a dolphin. She immediately copied him and
stated that hers was a "baby dolphin". |
Esther was inconsolable when it came time to leave. |
Matthew under the wolf. This is one of the few pics we got of him because
he always seems to be going at a faster pace than us. As for Bekah, she avoided the camera. |
Another happy ending (well...mostly) to a fun filled vacation. |
