Life

Wow, it's been over a week since I last wrote.  My original goal was to write a little something everyday.  Oh well! Last week was busy and this week is following suit.

Abi loves her new hat and shirt that Grandma and Grandpa Whitaker sent her.  She also loves playing "Barbie" on the computer.

Jacob came back from Provo EFY on Wed.  Rachel came back from Virginia EFY on Sat, and Sarah came home from BYUI on Sat as well.  The only one we are missing is Joey.  But he's enjoying his new ward and friends.

Rachel and Abi opening their birthday gifts from Sarah.

On Saturday, our ward had a Pioneer Day activity starting with a 5K.  The boys all ran. Bekah and I took pictures and the little girls played.  Esther wanted to run but I'm quite sure that would have been a miserable experience.  The older girls would have but they came home later that day.  Jacob was the first to complete but what more would you expect from a cross country team captain!

Sister Shultz was giving me a quick photography lesson as we were waiting for the runners.  Bekah was our beautiful subject.

Can you tell how hot it was?  And it was 8:30 in the morning!  I guess the tough course had something to do with it as well.  Jacob said it was even tougher than the ones he does competitively.

And here are the Missionaries bringing up the back.  They had stationed themselves on the course to guide the runners and cheer them on.  Everyone had breakfast as they arrived then we had some activities for the children inside the church.  I was so busy helping the kids make cookie "bonnets" that I forgot to take pictures.

This week we are helping with a bridal shower (fun!) and going to the wedding on Sat (even more fun!). Then I have to finish writing the Primary Program and get it prepared to hand out on Sunday.  It will be great to have it done.  There are so many other things going on that I really need to stop writing and get a move on!
