17 years old!! It's hard to believe that my little sweet Jacob turned 17! I'm so grateful that he was sent to our family. His sweet personality was evident early. He would love to twirl my hair when I rocked him, he laughed easily at Joseph and Sarah, and got along easily with anyone he met. When he was barely sitting on his own, I took the kids to my previous work place to show them off. Joseph and Sarah made themselves at home, talking freely to my friends. But Jacob took one look and buried his face in my shoulder. It took me a while to figure out that he was being shy (I hadn't experienced that with the other two). I even had a hard time getting him to recite verses in front of the family while we home schooled.
So imagine to my surprise this last weekend at our church's talent show, he played guitar and sang.......by himself! He certainly has grown in more ways than one.
I guess quiet waters run deep. He's also developed over the years quite the knack for sarcasm and teasing. There's never a dull moment when Jacob's around.
Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownies with half chocolate, half caramel icing, yum!! The girls decorated it, fyi.
Jacob's pretty happy about his wad of cash.
Like I said before, isn't he so cute!!
I love you Jacob and am so proud of the young man you've become. You have great things in store for you. I'm thankful for the example you set for me and our family. We all look up to you (not a pun)!
