We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Arizona with family. The weather wasn't quite what we are used in Dec. It was actually colder there for a couple of days than it was back here at home. That and sickness kind of hampered our activities but not our fun.
Grandma & Grandpa Whitaker with the cousins minus Joseph, Sarah, and Karissa |
- food, food and more food (fudge & peanut butter balls and me not holding back--strangely only gained 2.5 lbs)
- kids, kids, and more kids everywhere
- lots of shopping (it was warm in the stores) :)
- sickness (we prayed that we would get home before it hit us. Our prayer was answered when 5 promptly were sick when we got home. Maybe we should have prayed to not get sick at all!!)
- lots of games
- frogs on my "Pod"
- freezing weather(was that really AZ or some other place?)
- It snowed on Christmas. No, not in AZ but at home!!! It never snows here on Christmas!! The one time it does and we miss it! upset much?
- visited with my sister and her family
- fireworks on the street
- walking to church just across the street
- Abi got a haircut--no more mullet
- Joseph and Sarah left for college
- adults went to the temple
We got the giggles...couldn't figure out what to do with our hands. Abi wanted to be part of the silliness. |
Aunt Tammy was the first to get sick. |
Karissa and Sarah during a game. |
Goin to the temple... |
The airport had a cool hallway with a musical light show. |
Waiting for our plane home. |
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Whitaker for opening your home to us and taking such good care of us. Thank you Tammy for giving the kids such a great place to play and reconnect. Sorry you were so sick but you were a good sport about shopping and being involved with everything. Thanks Dave for allowing me to download all your CDs for my iPod. Abi especially likes the Primary songs done by the BYU group. She's singing along with them already.
Thank you!!
