BYU! The one and only!

I'm a little late in posting our good news of the weekend.  Jacob got accepted to BYU!!  We are so excited but knew all along that he would get accepted.  His grades are really good and his ACT was fantastic.

It was a little nerve racking for a couple of days, because other kids were getting their letters of acceptance.  Finally, we told Jacob to get on the Internet to check the Y's site.  True to form, Jacob was matter of fact and just said "ya, I got in".  We got all excited and started congratulating him.  Dad went to our room and came out with a couple of shirts and a jacket with the BYU logo on them he had been saving.

So, after saying thank you a couple of times, he says good night and starts heading to his room.  "Wait...are you at all excited? It's so hard to tell."  A big smile comes across his face with a little laugh and he says, "Ya, but I'm really more relieved since I only applied to the Y".

Whew! 

Now I have to come to terms with the fact that he applied for summer term and will be leaving us in a little over 3 months.  :(
