What I want my kids to know most

Went to 3 flower stores (nurseries) the other day looking for some bushes for our front porch.  While we were there, Abigail acted as though she were in fairy land.  She grabbed my hand and squealed over the puddles of water, then would pull me to another part of the store to see another treasure.  One store had cute garden decorations that can be for outside or in.  I had to watch her because she kept picking up all the little glass birds.  I finally knelt down to look too.  We decided to get a blue bird for the kitchen window sill.  It's a small sill so the bird was perfect.

As we were walking around, I was enjoying Abi's enjoyment.  I realized that I love sharing my interests with my children especially when they enjoy it too.  As parents we can influence our children without even knowing it or doing it on purpose.  It scares me sometimes when I hear my own words come out of my child's mouth.

But what I really hope is the biggest influence I could leave with my children is my testimony.  I want them to remember is that I believe my Savior lives and atoned for our sins.  He was resurrected so that we may live again.   And most importantly I've learned that Heavenly Father is a God of love and does everything for our benefit.  He wants more than anything for each of us to return to Him so He has made a plan for us to follow.  He is merciful and full of compassion towards us, or why else does he allow us to make multiple mistakes with the possibility of complete forgiveness? I will be forever grateful for His saving grace that lifts me beyond what I can do  myself.  I only hope and pray that my children will learn this for themselves so that they may find strength in that same knowledge.
