Yea a family wedding! Joseph and I had the opportunity to fly to Reno to support my nephew Colby Roundy. That's my sister Colleen (step-sister for those who didn't know) in the top right picture and the happy (pre-wedding) bride and groom (Colleen's son) are talking with my dad in the top left picture. Out of me and my two sisters, Colby is the first of our children to get married. Very exciting!
The following pics are of everyone getting the church ready for the family lunch that would follow the wedding.
In the Mormon Church, our weddings are unique in that we believe that we can be together forever and not just "til death do us part". So we build temples for the ceremonies that will make it possible for that to happen. The wedding is actually called a sealing. The bride and groom are sealed together through a promise, or a covenant.
Since this is a very sacred time, cameras are not appropriate in the temple. So the following are of family outside on the temple grounds.
Now that the important stuff was done, we had a lunch and a reception to celebrate the happy couple and their new covenant. Following are the pics from those two events.
We wish them love and happiness!
What fun wedding pic! What fun color combo, it turned out great!
