Aloha from Hawaii!!

For those of you who are friends with us on Facebook, you probably already know that we are on a family vacation in Hawaii.  We have wanted for years to bring all of the kids with us, but it either cost too much, I was pregnant, or there was a small one at home (It just doesn't seem to make sense to me to take a small child on an expensive vacation that they will never remember).  Well, now that everyone is old enough, we thought it would be fun to take them to one of our favorite get aways. Out of the islands, we chose Oahu because of its variety of tourist attractions.  We knew there would be something for everyone.

Since we've been here, my pictures haven't been downloading properly.  The ones on the cloud seem to be taking a detour to California and back here again.  The pictures I took on Sunday finally came thru today, two days later!!  Anyway, here is a peek at the beginning of our trip.

Paired off and ready to go!!
This is what it takes for 10 people (not including carry-ons)

This beautiful banyan tree stands in front of the coolest LDS chapel I've ever seen.
The interior is in the shape of St Peter's Bascillica, with a "nave" and a domed area at the front.
I also love the mosaic Christus on the outside and the water fountain(just behind the kids).
But best of all is the people.  They are so humble and sweet!

Abby liked the tree.
What would Hawaii be without the sunsets.
I leave you today with a couple shots.

More photos tomorrow (if I can get to them....).
Aloha!!
