Tis the Season to be busy

Bekah used her cake kit to make her first fondant covered cake.  Cute!

The real surprise at her b-day party was the new cell phone.
She thought she wasn't getting one for a while.  The white
hair was from a flour fight the girls had.  Lovely!
As usual, the weekend was nonstop activity.
  • Bekah's "friend" party.  The family party was earlier in the week.
  • watching Davie get creamed at the state game.  It took them half the game to figure out what hit them.  by then it was 40-0.  It was sure painful to watch.
  • Matthew's basketball game, which they lost :(
  • school projects
  • preparing talk for Stake Conference--everyone in the stake had to prepare one in case the general authority called on us.  Adults 10 min, Young Singles 7 min, Youth 5 min.  No pressure!  We were on pins and needles until all the speakers were announced.  Whew!  none of us were called.  More good news-now we have talks prepared for next time.:)
  • Me and Joseph went to the Bobcats basketball game with people from work.  The cool part is that we were in the box seats with some great food.  The bad part is that we lost.  In one day: 3 sports games attended--3 games lost
  • Stake Conference was great as usual, especially since we didn't have to give our talks.  But we did come spiritually prepared because of them, win-win.
  • Priesthood preview for Matthew. I lead the music and Joseph spoke.  We have a great group of boys that are preparing to receive the priesthood this next year.
Now on to more shopping, concerts, and party after party.  Tis the season!
