Ski day

For some reason this didn't post the other day, so I'm reposting.
Below are some pics of our fun day skiing at Sugar Mountain with Esther's school.  The abundance of snow this year was  a blessing in more ways than one.  When there is no school there are no activities.  So the ski trip was moved to a Friday which allowed Dad to come along for the first time in 5 years (and his first time skiing since we were dating 27 yrs ago).  He and Esther took a class then joined me and the others on the slopes.  It was like night and day watching Esther ski compared to last year.  She beat me down the mountain!  And thankfully Dad didn't rely on the lessons I gave him 27 years ago because the professionals taught him so well this time, he only fell when I cut him off (I didn't know he was behind me) and then because I  ran into him getting off the lift.  That last incident reminded me of our first time skiing because there he was on the ground and there I was laughing hysterically.  He was a terrific sport but stayed clear of me the next time we got off.

Dad & Esther in ski class.

Rachel and Jacob's friend Shelby.

Rostin and Jocie hitched a ride with us.

Esther's friend Abbey came with us too.

Matthew learned how to snowboard.

I'm amazed at how well Jacob is doing in his first year of snowboarding!

Dad came and made sure he had all the right equipment (cool goggles!).
He even bought me some snow pants too!
