Obviously not a current picture.  Dad didn't want the hospital pic public.
He just has a patch on his eye.  The baby in the picture is Matthew.
He's 11 now.
For those of you who don't know, I'm in Dallas, TX right now with my parents.  Dad had a surgery on his eye on Fri for cancer.  They put a small "seed" of radiation behind his eye and took it out on Mon.  The radiation sterilizes the cells so they can't divide. Now, the cancer cells are supposed to die slowly. Time will tell if the procedure worked.

He survived cancer 4 years ago and caught this one early.  So his chances are really good.

The day they took the seed out, Dad was in a lot of pain.  But yesterday he looked better than he did on Sunday when I got here.

It's been really nice to just be with my parents.  We've had some good conversation.  Mom is holding up pretty well too.  They are both very strong and have had a priesthood blessing that has helped.  I know that my sisters would like to be here too but I'm not sure what we would have all done.  I don't feel like I've done much except talk.  I decided yesterday, though, to get all the leaves off their driveway.  Leaf blowers are wonderful things!  Today, I'm going to work on the pool area.

Praises go to my dear husband who has orchastrated everything!
